Sense supports families with complex disabilities, hearing and sight to communicate, experience the world and fulfil their potential.
Over the last two years, it has been difficult to provide support to families during Covid and periods of lockdown and shielding for vulnerable people when face-to-face visits haven’t been possible.
Through the Noel Sweeney Foundation, we have supported Sense in creating new and innovative ways to reach out and adapt their services to support their users. With our help, they created new virtual sessions, providing fun and interactive play for children and their families. Working with their Arts, Sports and Wellbeing team, they created sessions for immersive storytelling, arts and crafts, music, dance, cooking, yoga and so much more.
We are proud to support Sense and delighted that our support enabled Sense to run virtual support group sessions and virtual family days. Thy also ran over 100 Pre-School support sessions benefiting over 850 people. To date, our support has helped over 2,450 people.
